Team FC Poyen beats RLC Baroo in District level football tournament

Team FC Poyen won the final match of the District Level Football Tournament organised by Football Club Baroo at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium, Biamathang on September 9.

RLC Baroo lost the game by 1 goal. A total of 30 teams from different parts of the district participated in the tournament. 

CEC, Hill Council, Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan congratulated the organisers for the successful conduct of the tournament and expressed optimism that the step will go a long way in generating interest among the youngsters about the game of football.

He said that the LAHDC Kargil is fully committed to provide all necessary facilities to players to upgrade their skills. He said that a good number of works for the construction of various sports-related infrastructure is going on in full swing in the district for which adequate funds have been allocated under different schemes.

He further assured players and sports enthusiasts that people will witness drastic changes in sports-related infrastructure and facilities in the near future which will prove instrumental in the promotion of sports culture besides also providing an adequate platform to budding players to showcase and hone their sporting skills.

Executive Councillor, Aga Syed Abass Razvi; Councillor, Baroo Minji Constituency, Sheikh Ghulam Mehdi; Former CEC Kargil, Haji Muhammad Hanifa Jan; District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kargil, Muhammad Hussain Rehnuma besides other concerned officers were present on the occasion.
