Indian men’s Ice Hockey team second in Challenge Cup of Asia

After 5 years, Indian men's ice hockey team made history and clinched the second position in the 2017 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, Division 1 on April 25 in Kuwait.

Out of three, India won two matches beating Oman with 3-2 and Macau with 7-3.
 
With 5-8 India lost its match with Kuwait.

The tournament campaigned from April 22 to 25 in which teams of India, Macau, Kuwait and Oman participated.

Indian team comprises of 22 players from Himalayan region struggled for the fund before participating the tournament. The team has been lifted with the willpower and interest of the players themselves. No government support, infrastructure has been provided till now.  
 
Spending most of their personal money and little sponsorship the team was trained in Kyrgyzstan prior to the tournament.
