Workshop on action research and academic writing for teachers held

One-day workshop on Action research and academic writing for the teachers of the DIET and Education Department was held at DIET Leh on April 25.

The workshop was organised by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh in collaboration with the University of Ladakh (UoL).

 Inaugurating the workshop, Professor SK Mehta, Vice-Chancellor, University of Ladakh appreciated the Education Department and stated that the spirit in which this workshop has been initiated in Ladakh is being taken up because of the high priority of the Education Department. He also stressed the importance of research.

Dr Safdar Ali, Director, School Education expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for his continued support to the Education Department of Ladakh. He stated that this kind of workshop will help the workforce of the Education Department. 

Principal DIET, Tsetan Dorje briefed about the progress report of DIET.
 
Director, University of Ladakh, Leh Campus, Konchok Angmo spoke on the importance of National Education Policy 2020 and in which research has been highlighted. She added that this is the first initiative in UT Ladakh regarding research and appreciated Vice Chancellor's initiative in this program.  

 Dr Sonam Joldan, Assistant Professor, Pol Science, UoL spoke on Ethics in Social Science Research; Dr Jigmat Dachen, Assistant Professor Physical Education, UoL spoke on Experiment Design & Introduction to Statics & Dr Rakesh Chandra, Assistant Professor Geology, UoL spoke on Time Management for Planning Research Methodology.
