VC, University of Ladakh visits GDC Nubra, lays foundation stone of college canteen & cafeteria

Vice-Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Prof SK Mehta visited Government Model Degree College Nubra and laid the foundation stone of the canteen and cafeteria of the college on September 26.

The canteen and cafeteria will be constructed under RUSA for ₹23.25 lakh.

Prof Deskyong Namgail, Dean Academic Affairs/ Controller of Examination; University of Ladakh and Sonam Angchuk, Assistant Director (P&S) were present.

Prof SK Mehta appreciated the role of the staff and students in organising various online co-curricular activities during the COVID-19 lockdown period. He assured that the University would extend support to the college in all respect and fulfil the demands of the students at the earliest.

Dr Tsewang Motup, Principal, GDC Nubra apprised VC about the achievements and activities of the college. He requested his support and guidance to help the college achieve its full potential.

Prof Deskyong Namgyal assured the students that their degree programmes would be completed in the stipulated time under the University of Ladakh.

Students showcased a colourful cultural programme and shared their demands with the Vice-Chancellor.
