The Union Territory of Ladakh has earned national recognition by securing two prestigious Certificates of Appreciation from the National Health Authority (NHA), Government of India, for its outstanding performance under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). 

The awards were presented during the National Review Meeting (Chintan Shivir) held on July 17–18 at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan in New Delhi.
Ladakh was honoured as the Best Performing Union Territory in the ABDM Registry (HPR & HFR) Saturation category for achieving remarkable progress in the registration of healthcare professionals and health facilities under the national digital health framework.

In another major achievement, the Union Territory was recognised as the Best Performing Small State/UT in the Highest Health Record Linking per Lakh Population category, acknowledging its exceptional efforts in promoting digital health records and strengthening the digital healthcare ecosystem.

The Certificates of Appreciation were presented by Dr. Sunil Kumar Barnwal, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, National Health Authority, in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and representatives from States and Union Territories across the country.

The twin awards highlight the collective efforts and dedication of the Health & Medical Education Department, UT Ladakh, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission State Team, National Health Mission Ladakh, healthcare institutions, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders in successfully implementing the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission across the Union Territory.

The recognition reflects Ladakh's commitment to advancing digital healthcare by strengthening the Health Professional Registry (HPR), Health Facility Registry (HFR), and digital health record integration. These initiatives have enhanced the accessibility, efficiency, and continuity of healthcare services for citizens while contributing to the vision of a robust, inclusive, and citizen-centric digital health ecosystem under the Digital India initiative.
