Councillor Upper Leh, LAHDC, Leh, Stanzin Tsepag was arrested in cyber crime case on December 23.

As per the press release of District Police, Leh, the complaint was lodged by a woman that a mischievous person is making her fake profiles on various social media accounts and transmitting obscene words and pictures, also sharing her personal phone number all around. 

Accordingly, the case FIR No.121 /2020 under section 67-A, 66-C of Information and Technology Act was registered at Police Station Leh, and an investigation was taken up. Through technical surveillance & investigation, the accused was tracked down as Stanzin Tsepag who is a sitting Councilor of Upper Leh constituency.

The accused was granted bail by the Court on December 24.
