University of Ladakh organises Fit India Freedom Run 2.0

University of Ladakh (UoL) organised a Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 under Fit India Movement as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration at Leh Campus, Taru on October 25. 

The staff and students of the University of Ladakh, Leh campus actively participated in the freedom run. The participants also took a pledge to include physical activities in their daily routine. 

Dean, Academic Affairs, UoL, Prof. Deskyong Namgyal flagged off the Fit India Freedom Run, which started from the Administrative Block of the campus and culminated at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib.

Deputy Director, UoL, Leh Campus, Konchok Angmo highlighted the importance of physical activities in daily life while welcoming the participants. Coordinator, Physical Education, UoL, Leh Campus, Dr. Jigmet Dachen briefed about the objectives behind organising the Freedom Run. Sports Director, UoL, Leh Campus, Lobzang Kunkyab overall coordinated the entire programme.
