Police Station Khaltse arrested two bootleggers and recovered illegal liquor from their possession on January 12.

The case is registered under FIR No 01/2023 at Police Station Khaltse and the investigation has started. The accused namely Beem Bahadur and Lokender Beta from Nepal are presently residing at village Domkhar as Labours. On January 11, 2023, Police Station Khaltse received information regarding the preparation/selling of illegal liquor (Desi sharab) at village Domkhar by some Nepali residents. The police party rushed to the spot, conducted a raid, and recovered a large quantity of illegal liquor from rented accommodation.

District Police Leh urges the general public to come forward with any information regarding any case of narcotic smuggling, drug peddling, or bootlegging so that the precious lives of the people are saved from this menace.
