Training program on EVMs, VVPAT held in Kargil district

In anticipation to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections-2024, a training/awareness session to ensure preparedness by conducting comprehensive information on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) system was held at Auditorium Hall, Kargil on Februrary 28.

The training was conducted by District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) of Kargil to equip government employees of the district with the necessary knowledge and skills.

The session was presided over by Muhammad Sharief, Deputy District Election Officer and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kargil.

He urged all employees to attend training sessions to become familiar with operating EVMs and VVPATs for the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

The master trainer, lecturer Muhammad Ali gave detailed information and highlighted the roles and responsibilities of Polling Officers.He conducted hands-on training and demonstrated the functioning and working procedures of EVM/VVPATs to the concerned district employees.

A similar program was also held at Higher Secondary School Drass regarding the demonstration of VVPATs and Control Unit. The training was conducted by instructor Zakir Hussain. SDM Drass, Principal HSS Bhimbet and Drass, Naib Tehsildar and employees of the Sub Division were present at the training program.
