Given the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections-2024, Office of Deputy Commissioner/District Election Officer, Kargil organised a training program on Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the designated District Level Master Trainers (DLMTs) and authorized representatives of Tehsil Offices at Conference Hall, Baroo, on January 15.

Fourteen (14) designated DLMTs of the district along with the representatives of the Tehsil Offices attended the training program.

The DLMTs and the Tehsil Office representatives further elaborated the method of polling through the EVMs to the general public and encouraged them to take part in the on-spot Mock Poll facility for their effective sensitization well before the polls.

On the occasion, the resource persons elaborated on the features and functioning of EVMs to the participants and imparted hands-on demonstrations to them. They were also informed about the operational procedure of the EVMs and briefed the participants about it.
