Training program for booth level officers (BLOs) held in Kargil

A comprehensive training program for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) of District Kargil was successfully conducted by the IT team of the Election Cell, DC Office Kargil on June 19 at the SMM Auditorium Hall. The training aimed to equip BLOs with the necessary knowledge and skills for the upcoming Summary Revision of the Photo Electoral Roll.
The session saw enthusiastic participation from BLOs across the district, including those stationed in remote regions like Zanskar, who joined the training virtually—ensuring full district-wide coverage and inclusivity.
Master Trainer Amin provided a detailed orientation covering key areas such as voter eligibility criteria, the responsibilities of BLOs, procedures for updating and verifying entries in the electoral roll, assisting citizens in filling out various forms for inclusion, deletion, correction, and transposition, handling claims and objections, adhering to the code of conduct and dress code, maintaining professional behavior during field duties, proper etiquette for telephonic communication with citizens and election officials, common mistakes to avoid, and the correct use of the BLO Register and other essential documentation.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, during which BLOs raised queries, shared field-related challenges, and sought clarifications. The discussion helped address operational issues and strengthened readiness for the upcoming summary revision exercise.
