Training for maternal and newborn care held at SNM Hospital, Leh

During the concluding day of the Training of Trainers (ToT) on Technical Update and Skills Standardization for Maternal and Newborn care.
Leh :

Four days program under DAKSHATA for Training of Trainers (ToT) on Technical Update and Skills Standardization for Maternal and Newborn care concluded on October 17 at SNM Hospital Leh.
 
The training program was organised by National Health Mission, UT Ladakh in collaboration with Jhpiego-India and aims to empower healthcare providers for ensuring quality care during the intrapartum and immediate postpartum period to reduce newborn mortality rates in UT Ladakh. 
 
The skill-based training program was exclusively for Gynecologists, Medical Officers, Nursing Supervisors, and Labour room In-charges from both the Leh and Kargil districts of UT Ladakh. A total of 20 participants from both districts were part of the training program.
 
Interacting virtually, Program Director and Director Operations, Jhpiego India, Dr. Kamelsh Lalchandani assured Jhpiego’s support as and when required. 
 
Resource person, Dr. Sunita Dhamija said that she was happy to be a trainer for the DAKSHATA training. She expressed best wishes to all the healthcare providers and urged them to ensure patients' safety by all means.
 
Mission Director, NHM Ladakh, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Choudhary congratulated all the participants for attending and completing the training program and urged them to follow the directions given by the experts during the training sessions.
 
He further thanked Jhpiego-India for making the training a successful one. He expressed special gratitude to resource persons Robin Sharma and Abhilasha Donald from Jhpiego- India who came from Delhi for this training program. He also thanked Dr. Sunita Dhamija and Bhijali Sinha for joining the training program virtually.
 
In the end, Mission Director of NHM Ladakh distributed certificates to the participants.
