Thousands participate in 47th Islamic Revolution day rally at Sankoo

The 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution was celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion at Sankoo on February 11.

On the evening of February 10, mosques, Imam Bargahs, and residential houses were beautifully illuminated to mark the historic occasion.
The celebrations commemorated the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution led by Ayatullah Imam Khomeini (R.A.), which brought an end to the monarchical rule of the U.S.-backed Pahlavi regime. The day also served as a tribute to those who sacrificed their lives during the revolution.The return of Imam Khomeini (R.A.) to Iran from exile on February 1, 1979, marked the beginning of the Ten-Day Dawn (Dahe-e-Fajr) celebrations, which culminate on February 11 with the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

An impressive rally was witnessed at Sankoo, organized by Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman, Kargil Ladakh.

Thousands of men, women, and children participated in the rally, holding Iranian, Indian, and Palestinian flags and raising slogans in support of Iran and its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei (R.A.).

Despite the extremely cold weather, several rallies commenced early in the morning from different villages and converged at the Jamia Masjid, Sankoo. Prominent religious scholars, including Aga Syed Jaffer Rizvi, Sheikh Hassan Muqadasi, and Sheikh Ali Arifi, were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, the scholars highlighted the significance of the Islamic Revolution and emphasized its global impact under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (R.A.).

The 47th Islamic Revolution Day was also observed in Taisuru, Suru, GMpore, Trespone, and Saliskote.
