Technical orientation on UDISE+ and PRABANDH portals held to strengthen educational data management in Ladakh
The School Education Department, Union Territory of Ladakh, organized a one-day Technical Orientation Programme on UDISE+ and PRABANDH Portals at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, on November 7.
The programme aimed to strengthen data management and reporting systems across schools and educational offices by enhancing the technical skills of MIS Coordinators and teachers from the school, block, district, and UT levels.
During the inaugural session, Secretary, School Education, Bhanu Prabha (IAS), and Director, School Education Department, Tashi Dolma (JKAS), emphasized the crucial role of accurate data collection and timely reporting in evidence-based planning and monitoring of educational initiatives.
Participants were oriented on various aspects of UDISE+ (Unified District Information System for Education Plus) and PRABANDH (Project Appraisal, Budgeting, Monitoring, and Evaluation System)—two key digital platforms for educational data management and planning under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The technical sessions, led by resource persons from the Ministry of Education, Government of India, included hands-on training on data entry, validation, error rectification, and real-time monitoring tools. Participants also discussed best practices and challenges in implementing these systems at the grassroots level.
The event concluded with an interactive session and participant feedback, with attendees appreciating the initiative for improving efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in educational data reporting across Ladakh.
The School Education Department, UT Ladakh, reiterated its commitment to leveraging technology to ensure robust, transparent, and accountable educational governance across the Union Territory.
