Tribal Research Institute, Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh organised a talk on the theme, “Tribes of Ladakh and their Struggle for Scheduled Tribe Status” on May 27.

Dr. Konchok Paldan, Department of Sociology/Tribal Research Institute, Kargil Campus, UoL presented the talk.

Dr. Jaffar Ali Khan Coordinator, TRI Kargil Campus, UoL presented the overview and objectives of the Tribal Research Institute and shared its future prospective plan with the students and faculty members. 

The program was followed by discussion cum Q&A from both student participants and faculty members.

Later, documentary film on forgotten Aryan Tribes: Spectacular India by culture historian Benoy K Behl was screened.
