Swachta Pakhwada was celebrated by KVK Nyoma (SKUAST), Leh  from December 16-31 at Nyoma. 

To commemorate the event,KVK organised the display of Swachta Hi Sewa banner at office premises and took the Swachta pledge, which marked the beginning of fortnight-long Pakhwada activities.

The event was followed by essential maintenance including– stocktaking on the digitisation of office records/ e-office implementation. As per the calendar activities, office premises were cleaned by disposing of old and obsolete items of furniture and junk materials. Cleanliness and sanitation drive was launched within surroundings including residential colonies, markets and village Nyoma TR adopted by the KVK under the ‘Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav programme’.

Campaign on cleaning of sewerage and water lines, awareness on recycling of wastewater was done. Workshops and debate competitions were organised on agricultural technologies for conversion of waste to wealth, safe disposal of all kinds of wastes. 

To foster healthy competition, Primary Health Centre, Nyoma was rewarded as the best office on cleanliness.
