Special Intensive Revision: ADC engages political stakeholders in Kargil

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, chaired a meeting on February 26 with representatives of various political parties to review preparatory arrangements for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll.

The meeting was attended by the District President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kargil, along with representatives from the Indian National Congress (INC), Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Kargil.

During the meeting, officials briefed participants on the SIR process and the schedule to be followed. Political parties were requested to submit lists of their Booth Level Agents (BLAs) at the earliest to ensure smooth coordination during the revision exercise.

The ADC also encouraged all stakeholders to download and use the ECI NET App for timely updates and effective monitoring of the revision process.
Emphasising the importance of maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Electoral Roll, the ADC stated that every effort must be made to ensure that no eligible elector is left out and no ineligible name is included. He called for active cooperation from all political parties to make the revision process transparent, inclusive, and error-free.
