The Sindhu Infrastructure Development Corporation (SIDCO) on February 9 successfully completed the integration of its Online Payment System, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing digital transformation initiative.

Earlier, SIDCO had developed and operationalised a comprehensive Online Portal to facilitate seamless loan registration, application submission, scrutiny, and approval. The successful implementation of the loan registration module laid a strong foundation for transparent, efficient, and fully digital processing of applications.

With the integration of the online payment system, SIDCO has now commenced Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of sanctioned loan amounts directly into the bank accounts of applicants through the newly developed portal. In the first phase, a total of 97 cases were disbursed, amounting to ₹853.97 lakh, of which ₹644 lakh was disbursed in Leh district and ₹209.97 lakh in Kargil district.

The disbursement benefited applicants belonging to Scheduled Tribes, Notified National Minorities, and Persons with Disabilities of the Union Territory of Ladakh under various financial assistance schemes.

The completion of loan registration and integration of the online payment gateway has enabled a fully digital disbursement mechanism, paving the way for faster processing, enhanced transparency, and greater accountability in the implementation of financial assistance schemes for future applicants.

This achievement was realised under the leadership and guidance of Managing Director, SIDCO, Bhupesh Chaudhary, IAS, whose vision for digital governance has significantly strengthened institutional efficiency.

SIDCO reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging technology to ensure seamless, transparent, and beneficiary-friendly service delivery in the times ahead.
