Rich tribute was paid during the cremation of Late Naib Subedar Tsewang Gyaltsan of 5th Ladakh Scouts on December 9.

Late Naib Subedar Tsewang Gyaltsan along with his colleague Late Rifleman Padma Norgais of 5th Ladakh Scouts were killed in an avalanche in the southern part of the Siachen Glacier on November 30.

Col. J.K Sharma, Station Commander Kharu and officers of 5th Ladakh Scouts and 4th Ladakh Scouts paid floral tribute to the departed soul. The ceremonial guard of honour with a gun salute was performed by 4th Ladakh Scouts.

Mumtaz Hussain, EC Minority on behalf of Hill Council, Leh paid tribute to the departed soldier. A.G Zargar, SDM, Kharu; Jigmet Raftan, Tehsildar Kharu, family, relatives and villagers also paid their tribute.
