Sheep Husbandry Department Khaltse organised awareness camp at Fotolalok

Sheep Husbandry Department Khaltse organised an awareness camp regarding livestock revival at Fotolalok village on February 2.

Councillor Lamayuru Constituency, Dr. Murup Dorjay elaborated to the villagers the importance of sheep and goat rearing for organic farming and sustainable development.

Similarly, District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO) Leh, Dr. Tsewang Murup informed the villagers, about various programs to be rolled out in 2024-25 for livestock management at the village level and pilot projects to be carried out in selected villages for livestock revival for organic development and scientific intervention to be introduced in these pilot villages. 

Block Sheep Husbandry Officer Khaltse, Dr. Tsewang Dolma gave scheme details of the department's ways of livestock rearing, management, and different schemes of the department and their benefits to farmers. Officials from Sheep Husbandry Department Khaltse and farmers from the village were also present during the camp.

Councillor also distributed incentives to the beneficiaries.
