In a bid to inspire and guide students toward meaningful career paths, Shaheen Academy organized a comprehensive Career Counselling Program on June 18 at the Auditorium Hall, Kargil. The event drew enthusiastic participation from students of Classes 9 to 12, as well as civil services aspirants from across the district.

The event was graced by the Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, as Chief Guest. He commended Shaheen Academy for initiating such a timely and much-needed program for the youth of Kargil.

As part of the ceremony, CEC Dr. Jaffer Akhoon extended heartfelt congratulations to Fatima, NEET Topper 2025, and presented her with a memento on behalf of the people of Kargil, recognizing her outstanding achievement.

In his address, Dr. Akhoon shared insights from his own educational journey and emphasized the importance of structured guidance in helping students identify their strengths and career interests. “Students from Kargil are inherently talented, but to unlock their full potential, they need consistent mentorship and exposure,” he said. He highlighted the need for more doctors, engineers, and civil servants in Kargil and stated that programs like these are essential stepping stones toward that vision.

He also urged graduates and postgraduates to remain focused on their academic goals, noting that with the domicile rules for Ladakh now in place, recruitment for gazetted and non-gazetted posts would soon be advertised. He encouraged aspirants to prepare diligently and assured them of the administration’s support.

During the event, the CEC felicitated NEET toppers and expert speakers with mementos, appreciating their contributions and encouraging Shaheen Academy to continue its commendable efforts in the future.

The session featured expert speakers, including Dr. Mohd Ali, Mohd Hassan (Assistant Professor, Delhi University), and Fatima, who shared valuable insights into career opportunities, strategic exam preparation, and the importance of making informed career choices.

Held under the theme “Empowering Futures, Guiding Dreams,” the event served as a significant step toward equipping the youth of Kargil with the knowledge, motivation, and confidence to pursue successful and fulfilling careers.
