Secretary Ravinder Kumar reviews functionalisation of Milk Pasteurization Plant in Leh

After the meeting of the functionalization of Milk Pasteurization Plant at Agling, Leh.
Leh :

Secretary, Cooperatives and Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar convened a meeting on November 15 regarding functionalization of the Milk Pasteurization Plant at Agling, Leh.
 
The secretary was informed about the progress of both civil and mechanical works at the plant. It was informed that more than 90% of the work has been completed and the rest is expected to get completed within 3 to 4 weeks.
 
The concerned officers of the Cooperative Department were asked to complete all other formalities, including FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) certification on time so that Ladakh Milk Federation would be able to participate in the tenders of the Indian Army for the supply of fresh pasteurized milk to them.
 
It was also informed that a meeting with the NDDB (National Dairy Development Board) would be held soon regarding hand-holding and technical support to run the plant.
 
The meeting was attended by Additional Registrar Cooperative, Dr. Mohd Raza; OSD to Secretary, Dr. Stanzin Thakchos; Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Leh, Dr. Mohd Abbas, and representatives from the IDMC (Indian Dairy Machinery Company).
