Secretary Power reviews issues of PDD with Wildlife and Forest Department

Administrative Secretary, Power Development Department, Ravinder Kumar reviewed the progress of pending issues of Wildlife and Forest Department against ongoing works of Power Development Department under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) of DDUGJY and PMDP at Secretariat on September 8.

Discussion was held on various issues such as wildlife, Forest clearance for Nyoma and Durbuk PDD Transmission lines, construction of Towers by REC ,11 Kv distribution works by NHPC etc. 

Secretary Ravinder directed the Regional Wildlife Warden, Mufti Sajjad Hussain and Chief Engineer, PDD, UT Ladakh to immediately constitute a team consisting of officers of Wildlife,Forest and PDD for joint spot inspection of Nyoma and Durbuk line sites immediately and sort the issues and complete the ending works of these lines.

Further, he stressed that in Nyoma area in which wildlife have no objections, PDD should complete the works related to the Transmission line immediately and also instructed General Manager, NHPC, Rajil Vyas to sort out the issues with RECPDCL related to towers at Loma substation.
