The motorcycle expedition flagged off for Doulat Beg Oldie on 19 July by General Officer Commanding, Fire and Fury Corps completed its first phase and reached back to Leh on July 21. 

The expedition themed, ‘Karakoram to Kargil Homage Rally’ is being conducted to pay tribute to the indomitable spirit of the Indian Army on occasion 
of 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The bikers braved the harsh environment and challenges of terrain as a salute to the brave hearts of the Kargil war. 

The second phase of the rally commences on 22 July from Leh to Drass and will be led by Lieu-tenant General PGK Menon, General Officer Commanding, Fire and Fury Corps. The expedition will converge with the Dhruva Kargil Ride at Drass on 23 July to commemorate the Kargil Vijay Diwas.
