Chairman District Disaster Management Authority/District Magistrate Leh,  Sachin Kumar Vaishya issues order regarding relaxation from May 4. 

The order reads:  
 
1.   Whereas, the Government of India vide its Order No. 40-3/2020-DM-(A) dated: 24-03-2020 read with the order of even number dated: 15-04-2020 and 01-05-2020 notified measures for lockdown along with relaxations all over the country w.e.f. 04th May, 2020.
 
2.   Whereas, due to reporting of fresh cases of COVID-19 in Leh district, it is imperative upon the administration to take immediate necessary precautions/measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
 
3.   Therefore, in the exercise of power conferred upon me in my capacity as Chairman, District Disaster management Authority under section-34 of Disaster Management Act, 2005 as well as under Section-144 of CrPC, 1973; the order promulgated No. DCL/PS/COVID-19/OO/2020 Dated: 19-04-2020 shall continue to be in force till 17th May, 2020 with immediate effect.
