Sachin Kumar Vaishya, DC, Leh reviewed the status of decisions taken during a visit to Durbuk and Khaltse sub-divisions on October 4.

Sachin Kumar informed that considering the problem of water pumps freezing during winter months, funds have been released to construct solarized mud houses for the water pumps in 10 villages of Durbuk block. Puga Residential and Shachukul schools will be also provided with solarized water pumps.
 
He directed SDM Nyoma to identify other villages for similar solarized mud houses to keep the water pumps functional during winter.

Taking up on other issues, Sachin Kumar said that all the government schools in Khaltse subdivision will be provided with new furniture in the next 15 days and also solar street lights in 5-6 schools. He further informed that a van will be provided very soon for the specially able children residing in Govt. High School Chushot Yokma for transportation. A Churpay (Cheese) drier has been given to the Self Help Group of Kharnak. 

Anti rabbis vaccines are now made available in the SNM Hospital considering its huge demand and limited availability in the market. Sachin Kumar directed Health Department to ensure the continuous availability of this vaccine in the hospital.
