Leh :

Director Prosecution, UT Ladakh, Tashi Dolma rolled out eProsecution application in the UT of Ladakh on October 17. The portal provides a platform for electronic communication between Court, Prison, Police department and Forensic Science Laboratory under the Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS).

Technical Director/ICJS NIC Coordinator, Tahir Mahajan provided support and training in this regard.

Assistant Public Prosecutor, Principal Sessions Court, Leh, Nawang Nurboo and officers/officials of NIC Leh were present during the launch of the portal.

e-Prosecution provides a secure web-platform for all the public prosecutors to record and serve legal proceedings on a criminal case filed by UT police right from protesting bail application, submission of charge sheet, framing of charge, examination of witnesses, legal opinion on FIR, final arguments etc till disposal of the case followed by an appeal (if any).

e-Prosecution would help the public prosecutor office to smoothly and easily deliver the services and also bring transparency in the system.
