Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation minister Syed Basharat Ahmed Bukhari inspects SDM, Tehsil office, Experts to be deputed for guidance to have computerised revenue records

Minister for Revenue Relief and Rehabilitation, J&K, Syed Basharat Ahmed Bukhari visited and inspected the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Tehsildar Office, Kharu on August 25. 

The minister was accompanied by ADC, Leh, Mosis Kunzang, AC, Leh, Kul Bushan Khajuria SDM, Nyoma, Tsering Mutup who also holds the charge of SDM, Kharu, Tehsildar, Leh ,Tsewang Gurmet, Tehsildar, Kharu, Padma Angmo and other Revenue officials.

The minister enquired about the sanctioned staff strength, progress of Permanent Resident Certificates (PRC) and other nature of works at the SDM Office, Kharu. Inspecting the revenue records at Tehsil Office Kharu, he said, “It is a big responsibility of the patwaries to write the Revenue record net, clean and dependable.”  He decided to depute an expert official from Srinagar on official duty to Leh for the guidance of settlement records in a computerized form in order to make the revenue records in a modernized way.

About the new Revenue village, the minister directed Tehsildar, Kharu to prepare a proposal of bifurcation of the bigger villages to facilitate the problems. 

Highlighting the staff strength, SDM Tsering Mutup said that there is no  judicial clerk in the SDMs office.

Sakti, Councilor demanded the proper infrastructure facilities and staff requirement at the new administrative units in Kharu Sub-Division.
