Religious procession held in Lankerchey on martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (A.S)

The martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Ali (A.S), observed on the 21st of Ramadan, was solemnly commemorated at Maktab Imam Zaman Educational Centre, Lankerchey, on March 11.

An impressive religious procession was organised by the Maktab Imam Zaman Educational Centre in Lankerchey, drawing hundreds of mourners dressed in black.

Participants chanted lamentations and performed chest beating in remembrance of the martyrdom of Imam Ali (A.S), creating an atmosphere of deep reverence and devotion.

The procession featured the carrying of the Alam-e-Hussaini and banners, symbolising profound respect and remembrance of the sacrifices of Imam Ali (A.S).

Addressing the gathering at Maktab Imam Zaman Educational Centre, Akhoon Mohammad Hussain delivered a sermon highlighting the life, teachings and values of Imam Ali (A.S).

He emphasised Imam Ali’s dedication to justice, equality and his unwavering loyalty to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Prominent religious scholars, including Hujatul Islam Wal Muslimeen Sheikh Mohammed Murtaza Ansari, were also present and offered prayers on the occasion.

The event served as a moment of reflection for the community, reaffirming Imam Ali’s legacy as a symbol of wisdom, justice and sacrifice.
