President Droupadi Murmu interacts with Drass students on army-facilitated national tour

A group of 16 bright and ambitious students from Drass—known as the second coldest inhabited place in the world—had the rare honour of meeting the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. The interaction was part of the prestigious National Integration Tour, organized by the Forever in Operations Division of the Fire & Fury Corps.
This remarkable event marked a milestone in the students’ educational journey, symbolizing their hard work, resilience, and aspirations. During the meeting, the students expressed heartfelt gratitude and shared their dreams of excelling in academic and professional fields.
In her inspiring address, President Murmu lauded the Indian Army for its role in organizing the tour and encouraged the students to pursue their goals with passion and perseverance. She urged them to draw motivation from visionary leaders who embody dedication, learning, and service to the nation.
As part of their enriching tour, the students visited several iconic institutions and landmarks, including IIT Jammu, Fish Aquarium Jammu, the National War Memorial, Nehru Planetarium, Dilli Haat, Select City Walk Mall, and India Gate in New Delhi. These experiences offered them valuable exposure to India’s diverse cultural and educational landscape and deepened their sense of national pride.
The delegation is now set to visit premier institutions in the next leg of their journey, including the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Forest Research Institute (FRI), Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Graphic Era University in Dehradun, and the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie. These visits will offer insights into India’s academic, administrative, and defence ecosystems.
The National Integration Tour, thoughtfully curated by the Forever in Operations Division, aims to foster unity, leadership, and a deep sense of patriotism among youth from remote regions. Through engagements with esteemed institutions and national leaders, the initiative seeks to inspire young minds to become future change-makers and nation-builders.
