CEC, Kargil meets Officer Commanding, 55 RCC Project Vijayak Discuss ongoing works of Vijayak in the Silmoo-Batalik area

Feroz Ahmed Khan, CEC, Kargil discussed various works undertaken in the Silmoo Batalik area with Officer Commanding, 55 RCC Project Vijayak R. K. Yadav on September 19 at Council Secretariat.
 
R. K. Yadav informed that 90% of work on Hambuting La Road realignment consisting of a 4.9 km stretch has already been completed. He further said that the road will be completed as soon as the approvals for extensions are received from the GOC. The road is expected to be completed by the end of September this year. 
 
Regarding improvement, widening, and blacktopping on the Satsik-Batalik Road, he informed that work is under progress on the 1.5 km stretch and would be completed by the second week of October 2020. The resurfacing of the 3.5 km stretch of Batalik-Chulichan Road already stands completed. 
 
It was further informed that the resurfacing and blacktopping of the Silmoo-Batalik road also stands completed. A total of 3000 locals have been employed by the Vijayak for various projects in the entire district this year. 
 
Feroz Khan appreciated the role of Project Vijayak for its efforts in the swift and efficient completion of various works in Kargil district despite challenges and limitations, with the outbreak of COVID-19 being the prime hurdle. 
 
Highlighting the efficient work culture of Project Vijayak, Feroz Khan said that the challenge put forth by the COVID-19 outbreak was converted into opportunity by Vijayak by way of employing a large number of locals to keep the pace of work going on smoothly. 
 
He asked the officers of Vijayak to continue with a similar level of missionary zeal, commitment, and passion in service of the nation.
