Nubra Industrial Area development reviewed by Administrative Secretary

Administrative Secretary, Agriculture and Horticulture Department, Bhupesh Choudhary, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Nubra, Mukul Beniwal, visited the proposed District Industrial Area in Nubra on May 12 to review the present status and developmental potential of the area.

During the visit, the Administrative Secretary inspected the proposed site and reviewed the status of internal roads along with the requirement of essential utilities, including power supply, borewell facilities and sewage infrastructure. Discussions were also held regarding the future scope and infrastructure requirements for the development of the industrial area.

The Administrative Secretary also sought updates on other ongoing developmental projects in the district. He further briefed officials on the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA) scheme, a major Central Sector initiative aimed at developing integrated industrial infrastructure and promoting manufacturing growth.

The visit was also attended by SDM Nubra Jigmet Raftan JKAS, Executive Engineer PWD and other district officials.
