A delegation comprising contractual employees engaged under the National Health Mission (NHM), led by Mohammad Hussain, called on the Lieutenant Governor at the LG Secretariat on March 1.

Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, Ravinder Kumar, IAS and Director Health Services, Dr. Motup Dorje were also present in the meeting.

Mohammad Hussain informed the LG about the performance-based incentive and requested a review of the performance-linked payment for various programs for the primary health care team at Health and Wellness Centers. He apprised the LG of the committee constituted by the former Mission Director, NHM, to review the demand for revising performance-linked incentives for NHM workers like them.

Hussain also requested the LG’s intervention in helping them receive the full loyalty bonus after completing three years of service in the NHM. Additionally, he sought the Lieutenant Governor's intervention to secure equal salaries for them comparable to NHM employees in Delhi.

The LG assured the delegates, led by Hussain, that he would look into the recommendation of the committee constituted by the former MD NHM. He stated that NHM employees would receive the loyalty bonus entitled to them and  asked the Director Health Services to address their issues and take necessary measures.
