The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar, chaired an introductory meeting with sectoral heads and district officers at the Conference Hall, Baroo on June 20.

Addressing the officers for the first time since assuming charge, DC Rakesh Kumar urged all departments to work with dedication, discipline, and a people-centric approach. He emphasized the timely and efficient implementation of government schemes and development projects to ensure holistic progress in the district.

He further directed officers to be accessible and responsive to the public, encouraging prompt action in resolving grievances. Stressing the importance of punctuality, accountability, and coordination, he called on all departments to uphold a high standard of service delivery.

The Deputy Commissioner also highlighted the need for strict adherence to deadlines and proactive decision-making to improve governance outcomes on the ground.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Finance/CCF Kargil, Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Superintending Engineers of R&B and Hydraulics, among other sectoral heads and senior district officers.
