NC delegation calls on Kargil DC on problems faced by the people

A delegation of National Conference, Kargil appraised various issues and problems related to electricity, ration supply, heating supply in District and Sub District Hospitals, availability of essential commodities to Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Haji Gulzar Hussain on January 15 in Kargil.

Expressing dismay over unscheduled power cut off, the delegation said that people are facing lots of inconvenience due to poor and deteriorated power distribution since long. They requested the Deputy Commissioner to ensure best power supply in urban and rural areas through DG Set Khurbathang during peak hours with proper power curtailment schedule.

The delegation also said that in the harsh winters, the central heating system in District Hospital and Sub District Hospitals remains off during the night hours causing inconvenience to patients and attendants. They demanded heating facility throughout night hours so that the patients may not face any problems.

Due to the non-availability of essential commodities like ration supply, sugar, kerosene, cooking gas and shortage of drinking water in view to sub-zero temperature, the delegation asked Deputy Commissioner to make an appropriate availability of essentials commodities at ration stores and ensure drinking water through tanker in those localities where shortage of drinking water is witnessed.

The Deputy Commissioner issued on spot instruction to concerned Head of Departments on phone to redress the genuine and public importance issues on priority basis. 
 
He also assured the delegation that power will be provided through DG sets in town and other areas to tackle the power crisis.   

The delegation comprises of Abbas Ali Khan, President, District Youth, Councillor Tai-Suru and Syed Abbas Rizvi, Party Vice President, Block Presidents and Secretaries.
