National Legal Service Day observed

The National Legal Services Day was observed at Leh by the District Legal Services Authority Leh under the chairmanship of Principle District & Sessions Judge Rajinder Sapru on 10th of November.

On the day, a Lok-Adalat was also organized for settlement of cases where 119 cases of Bank, Civil, Traffic, Labour, RPC and Petty matters and 104 cases were disposed off and an amount of ₹14,31,950 were recovered on the spot. 

Chief Judicial Magistrate Leh, Public Prosecutor, Bar President Leh, Senior Prosecuting Officer Leh and all the bar members were also present and a large number of litigants also participated in observing the day. 

The Chairman District Legal Services Authority Leh talking about the history of the legal services authority and other legal service authorities and committees explained the importance of the legal services day and the role of legal services for making the goal of justice at door steps for common people possible.

Similar functions were also held in Munsiff’s court Nubra and Khala
