Muslim Coordination Committee Leh expresses solidarity with Gaza

Leh :

Muslim Coordination Committee Leh organised a peaceful protest at the Main Market on October 27 to show support for the people of Gaza who are facing a prolonged conflict resulting in significant loss of life.

Imam of Jamai Masjid Leh, Maulana Mohd Omar Nadvi stressed the immediate need to bring peace back to Gaza and Palestine. He also highlighted the hardships faced by the Palestinian people and kids.

Sheikh Nazir Ahmed Sharifi urged the international community to condemn Israel and show unwavering support for the Palestinian people.

Ashraf Ali Barcha, President, Anjuman Imamia Leh, provided a historical perspective on the Israel-Palastine conflict. He also highlighted the history of Zionist tactics that led to the formation of the illegal state of Israel, which has disrupted the peace in West Asia. 

“This is a grave injustice happening to the people mostly the children and kids of Palestine and Gaza, we should all stand against it and show our solidarity it's not about Muslims it's about humanity”, he added.

Dr. Abdul Qayum, President, Anjuman Moin ul Islam emphasized the paramount importance of gaining a profound understanding of the underlying truth behind the ongoing crisis. Israel is using its superpower to attack Gaza's hospitals, and children, and causing severe damage. We should not support any form of injustice based on religion or background. We should stand with the innocent one.

He said, “I request the Indian government to support Palestine, provide aid as soon as possible, and call for an immediate ceasefire to end this war.”

Qari Mohd Amin of Jama Masjid Leh offered a heartfelt prayer for world peace, with a special focus on Gaza. 

The event was conducted by Adv Mohd Raman Khan, who thanked all participants and urged the Government of India to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people during this challenging time.
