MP Ladakh inaugurates 75 metre span motorable bridge at Pidmo

MP Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal inaugurated a 75 metre span motorable bridge at Pidmo, Zanskar on January 20.

The bridge was completed at a cost of  545 lakh out of which  505 lakh were sanctioned under Special Task Force and 40 lakh under the State sector. 

Later at Padum, MP chaired a review meeting for the Zanskar Winter Sports and Youth Festival and arrangements made for guests and visitors in this regard. 

SDM Zanskar briefed about the arrangements regarding the upcoming events. 

MP Ladakh said that the event is popular not only in Ladakh but outside Ladakh and people are looking this as a means to develop rural economy and winter tourism in this far-flung region.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal reached Zanskar after three days long trekking from the Chaddar Trek  to attend Zanskar Winter Sports and Youth Festival, 2021.

Enroute Padum, various public delegations at village Ralakung, Jingchen, Pidmo, Zangla, Tsazer, Stongday, Kumi also extended warm welcome to MP and other guests.  They put forth their demands and grievances.
