Member of Parliament Jamyang Tsering Namgyal met with Home Minister Amit Shah to deliberate on the comprehensive development initiatives in Ladakh on December 24.

The focal point of discussion encompassed the urgent need for establishing new administrative districts in areas like Zanskar, Nubra, and other regions within the Union Territory of Ladakh.

Emphasizing the necessity to swiftly fill government-gazetted positions to bolster youth employment, MP JTN also advocated for amendments to confer legislative powers to LAHDCs of Leh and Kargil. These powers would pertain to critical areas such as Land, Employment, Environment, Culture, Language, and more, aligning with the aspirations of Ladakh's populace for constitutional safeguards.

Acknowledging the allocation of 246 Bhoti language teachers, MP JTN appealed for the inclusion of the Bhoti Language in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution.

Expressing heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the people of Ladakh, MP JTN extended appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for the continuous support provided by the Modi Sarkar. He also urged for sustained assistance to Ladakh's ongoing development endeavors.
