MP Ladakh distributes equipment to Jawahar Navodyaya Vidyalaya, Kargil

Kargil :

MP Ladakh distributed 10 fire extinguishers, hot and cold water dispensers, and five interactive boards for digital classrooms to Jawahar Navodyaya Vidyalaya (JNV) Khumbathang, Kargil under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and SD initiative of NHPC on May 23.
 
MP Ladakh thanked District Administration Kargil for providing the equipment to the school and also appreciated NHPC, Kargil for providing five interactive boards for digital classrooms under CSR.
 
He lauded the school faculty for running the school smoothly despite the harsh winter and appreciated the teaching faculty for the best performance in the examination results.
 
Later, he visited the campus and inspected the hostel block, toilets, bathrooms, kitchen, and an under-construction campus of boys, girls, and staff quarter and took stock of facilities being provided to the students.
 
Namgyal directed the executing agency to make the hostel winter-friendly. He also instructed the concerned department to construct toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission within the vicinity of the school campus. He also directed Forest Department to conduct a mass plantation drive. Agriculture and Horticulture Departments were asked to provide greenhouses and plants. He also directed Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department for a joint convergence plan under MGNREGA for sustainable development.
 
 MP said there should be no compromise on health, hygiene, and food and directed the In-charge Principal to submit timely reports to the office of Deputy Commissioner Kargil and also share with them any kind of requirement for the school.
 
The School Administration requested central heating, a bus for the school, 50 Kw solar plant which the MP assured to take up the matter with the concerned authorities.
 
He also assured the JNV school administration of extending full support in bringing innovative projects to the institution.
 
Former Chairman, of Legislative Council (J&K), Haji Anayat Ali, Chairman, Hajj Committee, Ladakh, Mohd Ali Majaz, Accounts Officer to DC, Shamim Ahmad, Principal JNV, Kargil, Sushil Kumar, DGM, NHPC, R Ganguly, President Parents Association, JNV, Habibullah beside others concerned were present.
