MP chairs BSNL meeting, inspects, NIELIT, JNV and KV schools

A review meeting with the officials of BSNL Leh regarding the present communication scenario of BSNL network in Ladakh was convened by Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Member Parliament Ladakh on February 25.

Several issues were discussed including 3G to 4G up-gradation, installation of new mobile tower in both rural and urban areas and employees related issues.

Later, MP Ladakh inspected NIELIT Center and interacted with the student. He enquired from the Deputy Director NIELIT Phuchok Toldan about the project like Tourist Permit Portal, set up of Bio -Medical Lab in collaboration with CSIR Chandigarh and PGI Chandigarh and also enquired about the digital intervention in Handicrafts and Handloom. Deputy Director informed that Tourist Permit Portal will be completed in March.

During his visit to JNV School, JTN inspected the boys hostels and enquired about the issues of students. Later, MP directed the Principal and hostel warden to maintain the cleanliness of the campus and the dining hall and instructed to provide healthy and nutritious food to the students.

He also visited Kendriya Vidyalaya school, where MP Ladakh enquired about the basic facility like drinking water, co-curricular activities, medical check-up and other issues. Several issues were also discussed regarding the construction of hostels, central heating system, school bus and other issues with the principal of the school.
