Mobile passport van to offer passport services in Kargil from July 13–15
The Passport Seva Project (PSP) under the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, will operate a Mobile Passport Van in Kargil from July 13 to 15, 2026, to provide passport-related services to residents of Kargil and nearby areas.
The Mobile Passport Van initiative has been introduced to ensure swift, transparent and accessible passport services, particularly in remote regions. Under this initiative, the Regional Passport Office (RPO), Srinagar, will deploy the Mobile Passport Van within its jurisdiction to facilitate passport applications closer to citizens.
The Mobile Passport Van will be stationed at the Tourist Facilitation Centre, Bemathang, Kargil, for three days. Applicants wishing to avail the service must book an appointment through the official Passport Seva website by selecting "Passport Van" as the service option and choosing a preferred time slot during the scheduled dates.
Applicants are advised to report to the designated location at the allotted time on the date of their appointment and contact the Mobile Passport Van team (Registration No. PB65BF1377) for further assistance.
