Mission Director NHM Ladakh reviews healthcare facilities in Kargil

Tushar Anand, Mission Director of National Health Mission Ladakh, visited PHC Panikhar, CHC Sankoo, and PHC Karsha on May 21 to review healthcare facilities and assess the functioning of health institutions in Kargil district.

Accompanied by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kargil, BMO Zanskar, BMO Sankoo, and BMO Taisuru, the Mission Director interacted with doctors, paramedical staff, and healthcare workers. He also reviewed various issues related to healthcare services and the functioning of the institutions.

Tushar Anand assured the staff that necessary measures would be taken under NHM to strengthen healthcare services and improve patient care facilities in the region.

The Mission Director also interacted with patients to gather feedback on healthcare services and emphasized the importance of quality, patient-centric, and accessible healthcare delivery.

During the inspections, he reviewed the cleanliness and maintenance of the health institutions and inspected diagnostic facilities, pharmacy services, and other hospital sections. Directions were issued to strengthen diagnostic and drug services through NHM support to ensure improved healthcare delivery for the public.
