As part of the ongoing “Mimang-Si-sJabstogs – Administration at Your Doorstep” initiative, a public outreach camp was held on November 17 at Saboo village.

The camp was conducted under the supervision of Er. Tundup Spalzang, Superintending Engineer (SE), Power Development Department (PDD), and Nodal Officer for the program. In his address, the SE thanked the Nambardar, villagers, and representatives of participating departments, emphasizing that the initiative aims to strengthen grassroots governance by resolving public grievances and ensuring direct service delivery.

During the camp, multiple departments presented their schemes and services:

Horticulture Department announced subsidies for apple and apricot orchards, low-cost storage units for onion and garlic, solar crop dryers, water-lifting pumps, and agricultural machinery, with beneficiary listing scheduled for March–April.

Agriculture Department briefed villagers on greenhouse schemes, Per Drop More Crop (drip and sprinkler systems), vermicomposting, OSCP – Revival of Rantaks, and modern farming equipment. Guidance on seeds and liquid compost was also provided.

Animal Husbandry Department highlighted vaccination programmes, KCC schemes, mobile ambulance services, and subsidies for silage and animal feed.

ICDS shared information on supplementary nutrition, pre-school education, Aadhaar registration for newborns, and PMMVY.

Food & Supply Department addressed ration card verification, BPL card concerns, and KYC updates.

Power Development Department (PDD) informed villagers about the Rooftop Solar Scheme under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.

Forest Department promoted plantation fencing and chain-link subsidies and introduced the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, distributing 240 saplings of Kail, Deodar, and Juniper/Cypress.

Soil Conservation Department discussed district-level IWMP initiatives, glacier water-based irrigation, water channel construction, and chain-link subsidies.

Health Department provided on-the-spot OPD services, ABHA and PMJAY registrations, TB screening, and follow-up checks for BP and sugar. They encouraged villagers to support making Saboo a Tobacco-Free Village and highlighted Tele-MANAS mental health services.
Rural Development Department briefed villagers on MGNREGA, Swachh Bharat, and PMAY schemes.
Representatives from Education Department urged parents to support the upgradation of government schools, highlighting free textbooks, transportation, mid-day meals, digital labs, and smart classrooms.

During the interaction, the Nambardar submitted a memorandum to the Nodal Officer, listing key demands including upgradation of the Community Hall and Medical Centre, repair of internal roads, construction of a new water reservoir tank, installation of streetlights and CCTV cameras, development of a waste disposal system, supply of chemical fertilizers, regulated land distribution, and construction of an archery stadium.

Villagers also raised concerns over the need for a bridge on the Ayu side, insufficient seed and tool quantities for large farms, the need to balance organic farming with access to chemical fertilizers, and ensuring year-round availability of cattle feed.

The camp concluded with the Nodal Officer expressing gratitude to the villagers for their active participation and assuring follow-up on all issues raised.
