MG NREGA employees, Kargil demand job policy

A peaceful protest demanding the State Government for making a job policy for MG NREGA employees took out on December 18 by MG NREGA Employees Association, Kargil.

The protest was led by Mudassir Hussain Wazir, Vice President, MG NREGA Employees Association, Kargil and was taken down at REW office, Baroo, Kargil.

Mudassir Hussain while appealing Govt. for making a job policy for MG NREGA employees said that they are working from last many years on contractual basis at various posts in MG NREGA. The Govt. has not taken any initiative regarding regularisation of their job till date.

He further said that the livelihood of hundreds of employees working in MG NREGA is solely depended upon their job.

He also requested representatives of Kargil including Chairman Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali, MLA's, CEC LAHDC, District administration, ACD, BDO's to take up the matter to higher authorities for early redressal.
