Mega free medical camp held at MIMC Devachan campus
As part of the ongoing Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of the Tathagata Buddha in Ladakh, a mega free medical camp commenced at the MIMC Devachan Campus, Leh, on May 2. The camp is being organised by the UT Administration in collaboration with the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) and SNM Hospital, and will continue until May 14, 2026.
The camp is being conducted daily at the Mahabodhi Mahakaruna Charitable Hospital in Devachan, Leh, offering free medical check-ups and medicines to the general public.
Specialist doctors, including gynaecologists, ENT specialists, ophthalmologists, and dental surgeons, are available for consultations. In addition, TB screening, NCD screening, radiology services, and other diagnostic facilities are being provided.
The first day of the camp witnessed a strong turnout, with approximately 100 participants from various villages across Ladakh. Attendees included members of the local community, monks, nuns, and labourers, all seeking to benefit from the specialised healthcare services available during this significant spiritual period.
