Meeting on Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana proposal held  Directed officers to submit demands of respective departments with approximate cost

Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting to deliberate on proposals under the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY), also known as the District Mineral Funds in the VC room of DC office Leh on September 4.

The meeting aimed to address the pressing needs of different departments and prioritize the allocation of funds from the PMKKKY for projects that would benefit the people of Leh district.

During the meeting, district officers representing various government departments present their department's requirements and discuss the projects that require financial support under the PMKKKY.

Deputy Commissioner, Leh emphasized the importance of a transparent and efficient allocation of funds under the PMKKKY. He directed all attending officers to promptly submit their department's demands with approximate cost estimation, to facilitate the decision-making process.
In line with the spirit of the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana, the meeting demonstrated a collective effort to ensure that the benefits of mineral resources directly contribute to the welfare and development of the local communities in Leh.

Additionally, DC Leh added that the proposals will undergo scrutiny and evaluation to determine their feasibility and alignment with the overarching goals of the PMKKKY.

The meeting was attended by CPO Leh; ADDC Leh; DSWO Leh; CMO Leh; SE, PWD, R&B; ALC Leh; District Mineral Officer, Leh;  DEPO LEH, and other concerned officials from various departments.
