LSRC celebrates 54th Raising Day, receives 603 awards so far

The 54th Rising day of Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre was celebrated with patriotism and tribute to the brave hearts to sacrifice their life for the nation at the War Memorial, Leh.

Lt Gen and Mrs. VP Singh, AVSM, YSM, Colonel of the Regiment, JAK RIF and Ladakh Scouts were present.

With a salutation to the Nation, Regimental song and the thunder war cry of “KI KI SO SO LARGYALO” the day called off. 

Raised in the form of Nubra Guards in the year 1948 against Pakistani Raiders, Ladakh Scouts Regiment has a rich history of valour and sacrifice.  It is the youngest regiment of the Indian Army proudly carrying a tally of 603 awards since its raising.
