Lieutenant Governor Ladakh visits SNM hospital

Lieutenant Governor Ladakh, RK Mathur stressed on requirement of a team of good doctors with para-medic staff, lab technicians along with sophisticated machinery during his visit to SNM Hospital Leh on December 6.

RK Mathur complimented SNM hospital Leh for winning Swachhta awards repeatedly and appreciated the dedication and spirit of the staff of the hospital.

He visited the wards and interacted with the doctors on duty and enquired with the patients about their health and the services rendered by the hospital staff.

The doctors association, nurses, lab technicians, Counsellor ICTC, FMPHW, and other staff members highlighted their grievances and issues before the Lieutenant Governor.

Rigzin Samphel, Commissioner/Secretary Ladakh; Saugat Biswas, Divisional Commissioner/Secretary Ladakh; Sachin Kumar, DC Leh; Dr. Phunchok Angchuk, Director Health; Dr. Tsering Motup, Chief Medical Officer and Dr. Tsering Samphel Medical Superintendent were present.

Later, the LG Ladakh also visited ‘Jalzom Skit-tsal’- a Day-care centre at SNM hospital premises. 

Spalzes Angmo, Secretary, District Legal Service Authority and Saugat Biswas, Divisional Commissioner/Secretary Ladakh briefed the LG about the centre. 

RK Mathur interacted with the senior citizens who were visiting the centre during their leisure time. 

The senior citizens expressed their happiness about the facilities provided by the center.
