Leh prepares for ‘Mimangs-si-sJhabstogs’ outreach drive
A preparatory meeting for the upcoming ‘Mimangs-si-sJhabstogs’ campaign — an initiative aimed at strengthening public outreach and ensuring effective implementation of welfare schemes across Leh district — was convened under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Leh, Sonam Nurboo, along with Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Leh, Tsewang Gyalson, and Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Leh, A.G. Zarger.
The ADDC emphasized the importance of interdepartmental coordination to deliver government services directly to the people and ensure the timely resolution of public grievances through the Mimangs-si-sJhabstogs platform. He noted that the initiative will serve as an integrated approach to connect departments with citizens and deliver welfare benefits efficiently at the grassroots level.
Discussions focused on addressing issues across NRLM, Samagra Shiksha, ICDS, Social Security, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, PDD, LREDA, and PWD, with directives to ensure prompt redressal of grievances and completion of pending works.
The ADDC informed that a roster will be prepared for outreach activities focusing on key services such as Golden Card completion, Aadhaar enrolment, and other essential citizen services. Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) were instructed to coordinate with field officers to ensure proactive participation and smooth conduct of the campaign in their respective subdivisions.
It was further decided that officials will review social security scheme that have not yet achieved saturation at the block level, while departments such as PWD will address issues related to PMGSY roads, compensation, and pending works at the sub-divisional level. LREDA and the Solar Department were directed to conduct awareness drives on ongoing renewable energy schemes.
A district-level schedule for departmental participation across various subdivisions was discussed, and it was decided that awareness banners will be displayed to inform the public about the available government services and facilities under the initiative.
The meeting also deliberated on official deputations, departmental representation, and logistical arrangements required for the smooth execution of the programme. The CPO, Leh, directed all nodal officers to submit detailed departmental plans and preparedness reports to the Deputy Commissioner, Leh. Long-term challenges such as network connectivity were also reviewed, with short-term issues instructed to be resolved immediately at the local level.
The meeting was attended virtually by all SDMs and BDOs, along with district officers and representatives from various departments.
